Yesterday's rain washed away the haze from distant Canadian fires. This morning, the air is lighter and the horizon stretches farther—a physical reminder of a spiritual truth: before we can see clearly, we must experience a great clearing.

Free and clear.

That is what it feels like when everything that no longer serves your calling is lovingly stripped away. This lightness rarely arrives overnight; it unfolds quietly as you take ownership of your choices, your healing, and your heart.

It is a sacred clearing.

Every clearing asks something of us.
Faith.
Faith that what is being removed makes way for something far greater.

The Call Within

For years, I stumbled over the phrase, 'God spoke to me.' I wondered if others were hearing literal voices, worried I was missing some secret key to experiencing the divine. Then came the day I understood.

Over time, I came to inner-stand that when people say they 'hear the voice of God,' many are describing something far more profound than audible words. They are speaking of a holy prompting—a deep inner knowing that gently yet persistently calls us toward a new direction. It arrives with absolute clarity: a quiet conviction rising from somewhere deeper than the mind, defying any external explanation.

I don't consider myself a religious person; my relationship with faith has been cultivated quietly over a lifetime. Witnessing church leaders slap young children when I was young caused me to question much, leading our family to seek the Kingdom within and in the safety of our own home. There were years I didn't touch Scripture, though I never stopped praying. Today, my practice looks simpler: I read, I pray, I listen, and I continue learning.

Through it all, even as a young child, I sensed I was never truly alone. There was an unseen Presence carrying me through every season—a Presence that somehow protected the wonder of my inner child. In retrospect, I see the endless stream of creative ideas that have flowed through me ever since as fingerprints of that divine companionship.

Perhaps you've felt something similar. Perhaps you've sensed gentle nudges that seemed to arrive from somewhere beyond your own understanding. If so, maybe these words simply affirm what your spirit has known all along.

The Test of the Heart

Like many people, my greatest test became a matter of the heart. For several years, relationships, friendships, and collaborations quietly fell away. One by one, everything built on shaky foundations began leaving my life. At the time, I couldn't fully understand why. My conscious mind had no language for what was happening.

Meanwhile, The Most High was already awakening my spirit. I was entering a completely new season.

Before I could step into it, I was invited to examine every area of my life with complete honesty—as though placing it beneath the brightest possible light. The light first rested on my own heart. I wasn't being shown the faults of others nearly as much as I was being invited to examine my own willingness to overlook what my spirit had already recognized: the excuses, the compromises, the places where I had remained comfortable instead of courageous.

For years, I had unknowingly lived beside circumstances that were quietly changing the course of my life. As my partner accepted work requiring long stretches away in another state, subtle shifts in their behavior began accumulating over time. What once felt familiar slowly became something different.

Eventually, everything hidden came into the light and I left without looking back.

Painful as it was, I now recognize that this wasn't punishment. It was preparation. The Most High was clearing away everything that could no longer accompany me into the life He was calling me toward. It was His way.

Looking back, I wouldn't change a single step of the journey.
Amen.

A New Vantage Point

Those who walk with The Most High are gradually given a new vantage point. We start to see from above instead of only from within our circumstances. From that higher perspective comes discernment. You begin remembering who you are. You become much more deeply rooted in what you stand for.

If you are crossing into the promise that has quietly lived in your heart—the work, the service, the dream, or the calling you've always sensed was waiting for you—strengthen your fortress of faith. Before many seasons of growth come seasons of testing. Our emotions are often refined before our assignments expand.

As faith and spiritual vision mature beyond the immediately visible, the world constantly invites us to focus on what can be measured, owned, controlled, and feared. But the spirit responds immediately, continually calling us higher.

Your next chapter depends greatly upon how you choose to see:

See through the eyes of faith.
See through the eyes of love.
See with your spiritual sight.

You were never created to move through life believing you are powerless. You are a child of God. He goes before you, and He clears the way before you ever arrive.

Come Higher

Rise above fear. Rise above appearances. Rise above every circumstance that asks you to forget who you are.

Come higher in your heart and try to meet every challenge with grace. We are each here to contribute something beautiful to the greater good.

Perhaps your next leap of faith is already standing quietly before you, simply waiting for your agreement. Bring across the threshold everything that has blossomed through your faith, your perseverance, and your dedication. Trust the promise The Most High planted within your heart long before you knew how it would unfold.

And remember...

The child within you—the one who believes anything is possible, who dreams wondrous dreams and then joyfully begins building them—is still very much alive.

Protect that child.
Listen to that child.
Walk with that child.

Make every interaction a little brighter. Leave every place better than you found it. Choose the kind word. Extend the helping hand. Offer the generous heart.

Even when life requires a complete reset, trust The Most High to shine His light into every dark place. What feels like exposure is often the beginning of awakening. What feels like clearing is often the beginning of becoming.

Now go outside. Feel the sunshine on your face. Laugh a little louder. Play a little longer.

Your harvest season is here. Go share it.

Sometimes, our intuition whispers that something isn't quite right. While it is important to trust that inner voice, it helps to ground it in reality—to notice what is happening and gently verify the facts. Wisdom grows when we honor both our spiritual discernment and our practical reality.

If you ever find yourself concerned about your safety or well-being, please consider reaching out for support if someone in your life consistently:

  • Manipulates reality: Makes you question your own memory, perceptions, or sanity through repeated gaslighting.
  • Brings in hidden influences: Introduces external individuals or new "friend" groups that quietly steer decisions affecting your well-being, while keeping you from truly knowing them.
  • Involves you in hidden agreements: Takes out life insurance policies or credit cards in your name under false pretense or by forging your signature.
  • Breaches privacy and security: Uses your Social Security number or personal information without your consent.
  • Compromises your physical safety: Prepares food or drinks for you that consistently trigger unusual symptoms closely related to poisoning.
  • Drives isolation: Tries to distance you from the people, places, and support systems that bring joy and grounding to your life.
